Kooikerhondje von der Bernsteinquelle
09/05/19: Monday we plan to have the Ultrasonic screening done.I'm so excited !!!!
I would like to get the puppy room ready :-) Jana is doing great, the only difficulty is that she has "food amnesia" and pretends she is starving (worse than usual), but one shall not yet feed more. Not so easy, with these reproachful looks!

05/05/19 The puppy list is full. I have disabled the contact form.

05/02/19: In the 3rd week morning sickness can occur - it started early this morning. This is the first time that I found it positive to wake up at 5 in the morning and remove the mess... I will take it as a good sign.

Jana's 1st cover (Details see tab "A-litter")
Now it's time to wait and keep your fingers crossed!
The gestation of the bitch is about 63 days. Approximately 20 days after ovulation, the embryos settle in the uterine cervix, one week later the pregnancy can be determined by ultrasound. Unfortunately, there is no quick test, as in humans. From about the 48th day you can have x-rays to estimate the number of puppies, if that does not stress the dog too much.

17/04/19: Jana and Flash were so fast that we barely greeted each other. A real holiday romance. Second cover successful :-)

16/04/19: We arrived yesterday (after 9 hours driving including breaks) in the beach park Vrouwenpolder and in the evening Jana and Flash met briefly to get to know each other. Love at first sight! This morning we just wanted to bring them together for a short time and then try to get cover in the evening, but the two had different ideas: A completely free and relaxed mating! We had not expected that so early. After a brief cover act both stood for 20 minutes butt on butt ("hanging"). I'm thrilled! Tomorrow they will see each other again.

04/04/19: Jana is in heat! Unfortunately, she has chosen just the one week in which the stud dog in on caccation in the Netherlands... So we are driving in all probability soon 600 km to Vrouwenpolder and make spontaneous holidays!

01/15/19: I contacted the owner of our preferred stud dog and arranged a "date" for Jana at the end of April :-) Now it's time to say fingers crossed!

01/12/19: We have received the Feedback from the breeding commission which has assessed Jana's potential mating especially under health aspects.

07/01/19: I have sent a preselection of stud dogs to the Breeding Commission and am now waiting for the feedback before contacting the owner. That's really exciting!
